| This course has two primary goals 1) to equip participants with lifesaving skills-ABC's 2) to develop basic skills to handle common wilderness injuries. Wilderness First Aid courses has two optional components: CPR certification and anaphylaxis workshop. If either or both are added to a course program becomes 18 hours in length.

Advanced Wilderness First Aid Wilderness Medical Associates |

| Specifically designed for the unique demands of remote settings, this course focuses on three areas. First, how to treat injuries when you are hours or days from a hospital. Second, you will learn how to give care in extreme environments of cold, heat, or altitude. Finally this course focuses on working with limited equipment and improvising.

Paddle Canada Level 2 Sea Kayak Skills |

A beginning intermediate award in all aspects of sea kayak proficiency in an intensive 4 day course. This kayak training course is offered at the White Squall waterfront centre and includes a trip on Georgian Bay.
Prerequisites:
Paddle Canada Level-1 certification or equivalent experience.
Intermediate Skills - able to perform all fundamental strokes, braces and rescues to a high degree of proficiency in waves up to 1 metre.
Experience: at least 3, one day long, kayaking trips in different locations.

| The highest award possible for sea kayak training on freshwater in Canada. This is an intensive 4 & 1/2 day leadership & kayak training course along exposed Georgian Bay coast.
Prerequisites:
Level 2 Skills with experience paddling in vigorous sea conditions along exposed shores with infrequent landing opportunities. Wilderness First Aid Certification & Radio Operators License (marine VHF) are strongly recommended. Due to the nature of the course, it is important to have had considerable paddling experience. An ability to roll is essential.

| A foundation cert for anyone wanting to teach basic kayaking to others in a 3 day weekend course on Georgian Bay.
Prerequisites:
Paddle Canada Level 1 skills or equivalent experience and Basic First Aid/CPR. At least 16 years of age & able to perform all fundamental strokes, braces and rescues in moderate conditions (waves less than 0.2 metre). It is strongly recommended that all instructors have some qualification in Wilderness First Aid and Swimming.
