Hoot and “Bladder” for Mid August

Hey, I’ve tried every permutation for H&B monikers but have never thought of this latest one.  Thanks to a kind customer who desperately tried to remember what it was called, and came up with yet a new take on it.  Not unlike what the loggers used to experience on payday -  wild night on the wrong side of the tracks and …..

Summer Boat Sale is Now On!
Heather and I have wandered the Squall fields and racks and discounted every boat, new and used.  We’ll continue to do that as rental demand goes down, and Captain Jack is starting to put our used gear on sale too.

Summer is Just Starting
Did ya know that the Bay water is at an incredible 22 degrees?  The outer islands are a paddling paradise of sparkling waters, sun baked rock and sweet smelling pine.  I know these are Canadian clichés, but so is Tim Horton’s – we just gotta go with it.  I’m trying to say that you would do a lot worse than spending time on the water right now.

Delta Catfish
Big news on the boat front – our Delta 10 footers have just landed from the wet coast. They are cute as a button, very light and stable – and have the most wonderful underwater observation port so you can see the bottom of the lake without tipping over!   Finally I can retrieve all the lost sunglasses from our lake.   I could make a fortune!

Georgian Bay Islands National Park Daytrip – August 11, 28
Next one goes tomorrow with park interpreters out in the  islands.   We have a few spots available, so call right quick.

Clinics and Private Lessons
We still have a ton of time to teach you the wonder of paddling before summer is over – call now and your body will say thanks.

K1 Day Camp – Aug. 15/16
Kids from 12 – 15 years of age unite!  A ton of fun here on our lake for a day, then out we go to the islands for a full day of paddling, swimming and learning the ways of kayaking.  No experience needed – we’ll give you all the experience you need

K2 Day Camp Aug. 17-19
Ok, ya gotta know how to paddle a bit, but we’ll take it from there.  K1 Grads or equivalent experience can sign up.  Hey, you could take K1 & K2  and get away from mom and dad for a whole week.  What better way to end off your summer.

Level 2/3 Skills – full

Exploring Ancient Mountains Aug. 23-26
One spot left on this cabin based sea kayak adventure.  You should see the food they are planning for this one – call for more details!

Killarney Shores Sept. 7-11
Two spots left on this early fall trip to the quartzite hills and pink granite islands of northern Georgian Bay – hey, more Canadian icons.

Level 2 Sea Kayak Instructor  Oct. 10 eve – Oct. 15
This is as good as it gets – fall weather, big waves and a top level course

Georgian Bay Storm Gathering Oct. 13-16
Don’t wait to sign up as we are starting to fill and registration is limited.  Best part is we order in the storms just for that weekend.
