Late Summer Tim's Tips
staff_timCompression is Cool
Get a strong waterproof compression sack for your sleeping bag and clothes.  If you put it all together and squish the hell out of it, you can sometimes get the whole shooting match in front of your feet and lock it in with your foot pedals.  That frees up a ton of space in your kayak for all kinds of fun things.....

More Tips: The Power of Tea....
The Power of Tea
The Brits have known this for hundreds of years - when the going gets tough - stop and make a brew of tea.  It’s a powerful way to bring the group’s energy together and to refocus.  Often late in the day before camp is made, people get tired and distracted - which is exactly when accidents happen.  By taking the time to get some hot tea going and sharing it around - you bring everyone back to the group - and it’s amazing how much better everyone feels.  So when some young whippersnapper starts going on about risk management principles and protocols - just tell them to put the kettle on.
