Group kayak lesson

Course Description

This extended course further enhances the skills and techniques learned in Level-2 but adds a focus on leadership. You will develop skills in group awareness and management and safe travel that will enable you to help a group of colleagues or like paddlers make safe decisions about where, when and how to paddle in open waters.

Exploring various risk management and group communication approaches and improving weather and navigational awareness are also further enhanced in this course. We have a lot of fun, learning through scenarios and talking about the different ways and relative merits of various rescue and paddling techniques.

White Squall instructors enjoy coaching paddlers and have a solid and practical approach to paddling and leadership based in years of teaching, guiding and coaching people on how to safely travel in open waters. Georgian Bay is our classroom and while its beautiful, it also provides a variety of settings to challenge you in fun and safe ways.
